1) Because all my friends were doing it. Because I'm slightly voyeristic and I love gossip, even if it's about myself.

2) LOCK everything. Filter everything. Don't put personal info on the web.

3) I can go back and look at what my life was like three years ago and see patterns of behavior. I can see the changes for good and bad.

4) I worry about what other people think. I filter my posts to get the optimum "rah rah!". I don't think that's a good thing.

5) I used to be Rocky Road. Now I'm more Vanilla Bean.

1.) One of my friends was on it and talked me into it WAY back in 2001.
2.) How addicted I would become. And how bad the LJ drama could get - be careful what you say as it could be taken the wrong way and end up in hurt all around. Oh, and opinions are strong and powerful.
3.) The friends list, being able to keep up with everyone and comment and stuff. Also the filtering ability.
4.) How time consuming it can be. How easy it can be to get hurt.
5.) Mint chocolate chip - sweet, fresh, not too classic but with staying power ;).
