Can U believe I got a cat?

I did.  His name is Tinker.  As in tinker around the garage, where he lives...or as in (S)tinker-kitty, which is what we usually call him.  He doesn't really smell bad at all.  So that's good.  Tim & are both allergic, but we still give (S)tink-butt a little scritch here and there.

Adorable!

Wondering why get a kitten you're allergic to live in the garage? Won't he be lonely/cold in the wintertime?

OOps! I guess I got some 'splainin' to do!

Tinker is from a litter of barn cats down the road from us -- and he's going to be a "working animal" when the mice come in from the fiels -- rural is as rural does, YKWIM? ;) He's already slaying crickets like nobody's business. I find dismembered cricket legs at my door. *grins*

Plus, he'll be living in the relative lap of luxury come winter b/c Tim has it all tricked out (heat/air/insulation) for his wood/work shop. We've got him all hooked up! Oh, and our garage came with a cat door. So when he's not a baby, we'll let him come and go as he pleases through that.

Also I've heard that with repeated exposure one can become unallergic to specific cats or cats in general.

Lots of luck to you and the Tinkster!

that's part of the plan, too!

I already think it's working, but it may just be in my head!
