I am now at home. Things are good. I've spent probably about 24 hours concentratedly unpacking, and also decorating and renovating a bedroom which is far too small for me (let alone for my possessions). I need a 1000 CD stacker. This could hurt the bank balance somewhat. I think I have been to the Purple Turtle, if it is where I think it is. And you missed a fun Midland Railway gig last night. I couldn't hear my bass because the amp was miles away from me, but we got cheers!

I'm told that "The Purple Turtle" is the regular hangout of all the sort of trashy-glam-indie-rock bands down south, and that you can regularly spot people who play in bands such as Queen Adreeena, Rachel Stamp, and Ariel-X and such. Did you see any of them?

And hmm, I think the Purple Turtle is a chain. There's a very glamorous one in London - it's home to the clubnight Stay Beautiful. The one I refer to is a shithole frequented by drunken Oxford students. It occasionally plays bad indie music.
