[Kaden's handwriting is unexpectedly neat -- as in, actually legible. It's still clearly his, but he's made an effort to make it readable. This also occurs after his tag-in to the deathpost, which will be forthcoming.]I don't know if everyone knows yet, and I regret that, if you didn't, that you had to find out this way

If anyone was planning one I haven't heard anything about it but
A service would be good right appropriate
There should be one.

There will be one. It's the least she deserves. I'm only hoping I can manage to put something properly respectful together in such a short amount of time.

Planning on having a ceremony of sorts of my own, but that's private and just me. But you know, I like public things, so if there's a service, I'd like to be there, be part of it.
Blah blah blah. Stuff.
Was thinking we could also have a vigil, even if it's a bit dangerous.

Though if you have any ideas about what might be the most appropriate for Iris, specifically, do let me know. Religion was always a point of vague contention for us, so I don't know as much as I probably should. :(
A vigil. Interesting. I just wouldn't want anyone else to get hurt in the process of mourning one that was hurt so deeply, you know?

As for any other traditions you might have, let me know if there's anything necessary for me to get. I hope you don't mind if I leave the rest -- setup etc. -- to you.

[ooc: He's really glad he's already completely cleaned up her blood. For many reasons. He's not sure he could do it now, and he doesn't want Kaden seeing, which is awfully ironic.]

I'm...holding. I've been stretched very thin lately.
Thank you for offering to organize an memorial service. She deserves something but...I'm not sure I would have been up to organizing a public event right now. Besides, Western funeral customs are not something I am particularly familiar with. I think Iris could have appreciated the Japanese customs, but I also think the rituals would be lost on most of the rest of the people here--they don't have the right cultural framework.

I wouldn't say I necessarily offered, but someone had to step up to the plate. Apparently we're aiming for a traditional alchemist one, which means Roxis is the expert here.

I suppose I really can't say that I'm surprised at how this all turned out. People like her just weren't made for worlds like this one, and especially not for Chicago.
Roxis? I don't think I've met him. Someone from Iris's world?

Sometimes I forget what people can and can't see in these journals--goes to show how much I use them. Roxis is, from what I understand, someone from much further down her world's timeline. I'll admit that I tuned out a lot of what they talked about in my presence.
