Oh dude. This is WONDERFUL. I love everything. All the fitting things around canon. The apple! Traken customs! AND ADRIC! Who was so very awful, of course, but that's Adric for you (and his awfulness is precisely why I like him. The little rotter.)

I angsted over Adric! I wanted to make him somewhat awful (as, well, that's canon) without being completely horrible to him. So I drew on my own vast experience of being a horrible younger sibling and really enjoyed writing him in this.

ETA: oh, also, Adric's Sheldon Cooper-ish "well, of COURSE I'm better than you!" in his first episode makes me love him a lot.

Tegan being all oblivious and having epiphanies and significant dreams, Nyssa being so sweet and a tiny bit clueless (and going a bit Joan-of-Arc to rescue Tegan) and Adric being all brattish little brother-like. And the poor Doctor having terribly mortifying conversations about inter-species relationships. I love the way they're such a funny little sort-of family.
