Downton Abbey back in the UK on September 18?

That seems to be the case, according to Scottish broadcaster STV's press release re: their decision to finally show Downton Abbey back-to-back in autumn:
Series one of Downton Abbey starts on Sunday August 7 and series two will follow on Sundays beginning on September 18.

I´d never expected it so soon... I thought it was going to be november...

For some reason, I got the impression from recent articles the ITV broadcast would be in September rather than later, though for the life of me, I can't remember where I read that.

But then I saw the publication dates for the companion book, and I became certain mid-Sept was the premiere date. They wouldn't launch the book before, if they want to draw on the publicity the series' return would get.

ARRRGH! That's in less than 2 months! Must sort out all of the odd stuff I do on Downton nights for special TV viewings; the TV blanket ballgown etc.!

I knew it would be in September, like the first series, but I thought it would be at the very end! The 18th Is not that far away. YAY! I'm starting my countdown now!
