Another S3 trailer (this time from PBS)

Sep 07, 2012 10:58

It's not nearly as inclusive of the characters as the ITV trailer, but it features scenes I hadn't seen yet. No M/M! :(

But if you're an Anna/Bates fan, you'll like it.

Ugh! I hate that they do that! I guess I should be grateful that I was able to view the ITV one here in the U.S.

I'm honestly at a loss why PBS would do this. DA isn't premiering until January for them. It's like they want to goad people into watching it beforehand.

Just made NO sense to me...

I know. It's like a call for piracy ;)

My theory is that since so much Downton Abbey news is available to Americans, free and unrestricted, they want to head off complaints about not being able to see DA at the same time as the Brits. Releasing dribs and drabs of information from the PBS site keeps American eyeballs on them (and supporting the channel), and mollifies those who would complain.

I'm just heading out of town for the weekend and won't have Internet access. When I get back, I'll give you a transcript (if no one else already has).

Sorry you can't see it :(

And no, there's absolutely no M/M. It's Anna/Bates, some Edith and Sir Anthony, and scenes with the new footman (O'Brien's nephew).

Thank you for a quick reply. Don't bother to write down the transcript. I'm happy enough with the summary you already wrote.
