This is great! It's written with such a light touch, and a wonderful sense of Rosamund's voice.

Thank you! :) I think Rosamund would've been rather cold and practical from an early age - I'd be pretty tough too if I knew my dweeby little brother would inherit everything and me nothing! At the same time, I don't think the situation would wound her quite as much as it does Mary, so she doesn't have quite as much emotional baggage weighing her down. She 's so much fun!

Marmaduke is a bit cheeky isn't he? Must be refreshing.
I really like the interaction between them-even in so short a piece you can tell they are well-matched.

I think Rosamund would really go for the cheeky sort! ;) She's probably had quite enough of her father and Robert (who I imagine to be very similar) and I bet she'd love the idea of Marmaduke consistently offending her Mama!

Love love love. Especially the last part about her having a home not her fathers or not roberts. 100% Rosamund, right there.
