YOU would really enjoy it! And no, I've hardly been downtown, but now my curiosity is piqued. I will have to check it out! I hear there's another one in Brooklyn called Rijsttafel.

Holy crap! Congrats! I am so out of lj friend world, it is almost comical...last I checked in, you were meandering about New England somewhere, and now you're in nyc? Awesome for you.

I love New York and paradoxically enough am resisting the fact that in order to be employed in the profession I want to be employed in (oh god, English is already defeating me) I must move to NYC.

Um. Go to that huge used bookstore, the name of which I cannot remember.

ya i just got here last month. am here for grad school, for either a year or 1.5, not sure. an MA in quantitative methods for social science, which may or may not be as unwieldy as it sounds. NYC, i have yet to explore it fully!

profession: ...like, theater?

used bookstore: labyrinth???

Aha, were I that glamorous...no, I've decided that I rather like books, have done so all my life, and should really think about doing something more serious with them besides read them. Like, maybe read them for money? Publishing awaits!

OH, THE STRAND. That bookstore is awesome. Go there.
