I'm pretty sure that chapter 9 got cut off 1/2 way through on ff.net.
i want to read the rest, but... feel I'd be missing something.

Would you mind checking to see if half the chapter is indeed missing and maybe post the rest if it is?

okay, never mind. it was meant to be that way. I just wasn't sure. But now I am.

Nope, chapter nine is all there. It stops suddenly, I know, but the point is continued in this update. The story was originally intended to be a long oneshot, until I got impatient. It's making the transition better than I'd hoped...this happens to be one of the occasions where it didn't work out too well :)

Maybe if you put a "The End of Chapter 9" at the end...
I only say this because I've posted chapters where I forgot and typed a "1/2" and the word document converted it to a symbol, then I posted it on mm.org and mm.org cut off everything from the symbol on.
So, I kind of thought that might have happened here.
Of course, once I read chapter 10 (because I'm impatient and couldn't wait to find out for sure), it QUICKLY became apparent that wasn't the case.
