I HAVE NEVER DENIED THIS. BUT IT IS STILL THE END OF AN ERA. Though randomly, the night before last I dreamed I went back to Japan to hang out with you and shop. And now I have such a yen to go. TOO BAD, SUBCONSCIOUS, IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.

Gosh, it's weird to not be in opposite time zones.

Welcome back to glorious, glorious Illinois. Goodbye, Japan-lands of strange and amazing things. :(

Ribs! Do they not serve ribs over there?

They do not serve ribs there, ever. I cannot find them in grocery stores to purchase, neither pork nor beef.

One resturant used to serve them - I say used to because the last year I lived there they didn't serve them anymore.

Thank you, Miss Star.

That's a very patriotic icon you have for me, there.

Reading this, I remember how it felt when I was leaving Japan, and I had only been there for about two weeks.

I enjoyed reading the last bit of your time there. It really resurged my interest in signing up for a program like JET or whatever. I just don't know about leaving the people I have here behind.

Leaving people behind is the hardest part, though I knew that I could always come back to America, leaving the people in Japan, well...

I know I probably will never see them again. And that's been the hardest.
