Well I managed to squeeze out another episode this season before I have to stop watching due to spoilers for future books, but as is the case every week now I'm no longer certain how much longer I can stick with the show.  As always, spoiler warnings remain effect for all officially released materials for the books and the show, and once again, if ( Read more... )

You're right about Moat Cailin/Winterfell. I'd say that "somehow" I missed that, except after giving it some thought I know exactly why I missed that. Basically that was more sloppiness on the part of the showrunners. One scene they're depicting Moat Cailin and the next scene with Sansa suddenly they're in Winterfell. They did a terrible job of depicting the amount of time that needed to pass to make this journey.

As to what happens next with Sansa's story, I hope for the time being it follows Theon/Jeyne's story (more or less), so I can keep watching. But I'm not so sure about your theory about introducing Harry the Heir later on. It just feels like there are too many moving parts and little wrinkles introduced into the show to bring him in later on. I guess time will tell.

If you want to know who is in this season, check out IMDB and look at the cast list. I would imagine that Tormund is going to take Mance's place and it will be he leading the wildlings to the Gift to spread out and man the fort, which is probably why Jon ordered Janos Slynt to go to the fort. This would definitely fit the theme set out by GRRM in the books. I do not see Sansa running away with Theon, but she is sure to see him around and I doubt that Ramsay will hide her. The 3 angry looking girls, Ramsay's girls, will definitely figure because you don't take pains to film their pique without letting it run its course ( ... )

I really try to steer clear of finding exactly what HBO plans to do each season. Some stuff trickles down to me, but I rarely read the casting articles and such.

I've read the books several times because they're my favorite books by a very wide margin. The HBO series really hasn't factored into my decision to reread the books at any point. Having such intimate knowledge of the books doesn't ruin my viewing enjoyment at all ...it's my reading enjoyment that I'm worried about, which is why I'm so wary of spoilers concerning the unpublished materials.
