Whoot!

I am heading to the University of Houston this fall to begin graduate work toward an M.A. and Ph.D. in United States History.  I am going to be working under Dr. Guadalupe San Miguel, who has done extensive research on the implications of Brown for Houston's Chicano population.

Alright for Coltrane!

Well, at first, I felt this was somewhat of a consolation prize... but now I feel this is just about the best thing that can happen. I should talk to you about my conversation with the chair at Rice. Interesting stuff.

Wow! Neat!

That's all very exciting. I can't wait to become an adult someday and go to grad school. ;) But there is just too much fun stuff I have to do first!
