Fall TV Update

Oct 10, 2006 12:25

I feel the need to say that I'm disappointed with the Fall TV season. It seemed like there were so many shows that were going to air that it was going to be impossible to keep up with them all. Just about everything has disappointed me. Prison Break is the only show that I can honestly say hasn't let me down. I was expecting season 2 to suck ( Read more... )

Jonathan and I have been loving The Class, but I've been reading some pretty harsh things about it online. I hope it sticks around, because it's interesting and funny and has a neat concept.

Season 1 of Scrubs is good, but the episodes just get better and better with every season. Some episodes are laugh out loud funny, but the humor tends to be more of the chuckle and think about it type. Season 2 was really when it started to hit its stride, though, so stick with it for a while. :-)

I'm definitely sticking with Scrubs..It's smart humor and I like that.

The Class had slightly promising ratings in it's new time period last night..I think we'll get at least a full season. I'm not too big a fan of sitcoms in general, but I do like The Class..I'm not sure why (I watched a few episodes of How I Met Your Mother last season and didn't like it)

IMO, The Class and How I Met Your Mother are two of the best sitcoms around nowadays (not counting Scrubs, since NBC only wants to show it in the spring for some reason). I was hoping The Class would have better ratings last night after the How I Met Your Mother lead-in.

And Scrubs is definitely smart humor, which I think is one of the reasons why it's one of the most underappreciated shows in television. Some people just don't get it, I think.

I enjoyed BSG 3.1 so much last night that I'm thinking about going back and rewatching it tonight. I know there are things that I missed.

I agree that it would be difficult to pick BSG up right now but that's why there are DVDs and torrents! A couple of people I know watched seasons 1 and 2 (like 40-ish episodes) over the summer and caught up in time for last week.

=)

I think there's more to Heroes than you give it credit for. It takes time to build things up to the point where they can be explained. For instance, Syler appears to have more than one mutant ability... and I'm betting he's Niki's husband.

I totally understand that shows take time to build up and make sense...The thing about Heroes is that I have a nagging feeling that it's not going to make sense. Maybe it's just me, and I am along for the ride, but that's just the impression I get. And everything just gets so complicated in my head when time travel is involved...I wish they left that out! I know Nikki's husband becomes a regular cast member in either episode 5 or 6. I haven't thought about if he is Syler or not.

I'm about to go watch BSG right now.

With time travel, I find it best not to think about it... especially when it has the potential to ruin an otherwise great story.

i too really wanted to like Brothers & Sisters because I totally heart Rachel Griffiths, and really enjoyed Calista Flockhart during the Ally McBeal days, but this show just wasn't cutting it for me. I've tried to watch Survivor and Amazing Race but just haven't managed to find that foothole of interest anymore. I find myself renting a lot of DVDs instead ( ... )

I am addicted to Netflix and burning stuff that I get from there, but I still watch way more TV than movies.
I have season 1 of Gilmore Girls on DVD and I hope to eventually get to watch it, but who knows?

Season 2 and 3 (so far) of Desperate Housewives are no where near as good as season 1 was.
On the other hand, Grey's Anatomy just keeps getting better and better.

I never watched Sex And The City.

I check out your blog from time to time also...Everything is great with me.
