[action; Beaver street; morning]
Okay, I'm off then.
[At house 1776, Minato can be seen leaving for school, with his backpack in tow.]
Wait a minute, Minato!
Eh? [He stops to turn around. At the door is his mother, a bright woman with red hair, who some may recognize as Minako.]
You forgot your lunch, silly boy. [Saying this, she holds up a paper lunch ( Read more... )

...Okay, you lost me somewhere. What the hell's Halloween and why would anyone wear a costume for it?

[At least he tries.]

It's an American autumn holiday, where everyone dresses up and goes door-to-door to receive candy.

[ Madoka was a bit hesitant at first. The violin immediately made her think of Kyousuke and Sayaka and how horribly everything went for her best friend.

But she does peek in after pulling herself together and waits for a chance to speak up... which she takes by clapping lightly. ]

W-wow! You're... you're really good at the violin....

[He didn't expect clapping.]

Oh...thank you. This is just practice though.

That just makes it more impressive. Have you played the violin for very long...?

[There is a silent specter hovering outside the music room for some time before he makes the decision to peek in. ...Lucas suppose he can forgo his piano for this one day in favor of music being produced for once instead of noise.]

...That's really pretty.

[It's not been long since Minato's taken up violin again, and already he's gathering an audience. He pauses when Lucas speaks.]

Thank you. But I know it's been a while.

Oh. Then I think it's probably even more impressive.

[Lucas continues to hover by the doorway, looking a bit embarrassed.]

[suddenly Charles!! he doesn't even go here.

but he does borrow instruments from the music room occasionally, which is precisely why he'd decided to pop in today. it surprises him to see Minato playing, and playing well at that, but he has respect for music and remains silently by the door until the song is finished or he's noticed.]

[Minato's otherwise sweet performance falls flat when he hits a wrong note. After a couple more awkward attempts, he manages to hit it and returns to a smooth melody again...until another flat note ruins it.]

...

[His eyebrows crinkle slightly, as he retunes one of the strings. And that's when he notices his audience at the door.]

Oh, Charles? How long have you been there?

[his attention had drifted to a row of rosin lined up near the door and he had absent-mindedly been looking through them as he listened to Minato sort through his notes, so when his name is called his gaze snaps up abruptly.]

Not very. [a brief pause, and he pulls away from the door, placing the rosin in hand back into the line.] ...I wasn't aware that you played.

It's not that surprising, is it?

[Said as he places the violin down on a stand.]
