I just don't comprehend the attraction of Ling. I looked through all the photos that Damien posted, and I'm thinking, "How many freakin' pictures did he take?!"
I mean, it looked like there were more for Ling than Requiem.
Did you ever play "swords" when you were a kid? Grabbing a stick and some friends to go around wacking trees or other kids?
Did you like Wizard of Earthsea, the Narnia books, Middle Earth, or any of the other fantasy series?
What attracted you to DnD when you first played it?
Ling is different then the other WoD games...they are dark and dark and dark. Ling is bright with that undercurrent of dark...but epically so. It's Tarren's quest for the Black Cauldron, it's Cu Chulaine being caught between conflicting gaesa. It's the epic fantasy with horror thrown in.
It's a lot of fun if you have the right group.
Honestly, if you want the best first taste of Ling, ask Lafond to run a TT for you...even a one shot.
Don't worry. I've played in Changeling before... Eric Parks ran a few games, if you remember, and I've been in a short-lived LaFond TT game that was showing promise.
I know the attraction to Changeling TT. I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around Ling LARP.
(and no, I never played swords when I was a kid. I'm a fatass, remember? Video games were my meat and bread.)

I can't wait until that little red cap tells Jack that he is now Jack's squire because he has to be someone's squire and Jack is his choice. ;)

Curious choice, that leather jacket you've got.
Paul ... hilarious!
Frou Frou? Tell me that's just you being you, and not really a character name.
*chuckles* Glad to see you're enjoying the venue.

But I suppose Jack is a cad. That opening history blurb! I mean, really. Perfectly scandalous.
