Thanks to the near constant exertion and conveniently diminished appetite, I shed a handful of pounds at Burning Man again this year. I feel lighter and more fit than I have in years, and I aim to not just keep those gains but to improve on them.

That sounds excellent. I played a bit of ultimate a zillion years ago when I lived in San Diego. Although it was more of an excuse to drink beer and run around Balboa Park. I wish I lived closer to SF. Guess I'll just have to be happy with my mountain biking.

I've played in San Jose. It's pretty fun, though it was windy. I have my own set of discs, too.

I'm not a good disc-er if that's the right terminology. But I set up an ad-hoc frisbee disc course for my brother's bachelor party. Did it in the national forest outside the cabin we rented in Tahoe. Beer and disc was a blast! Count me in!
