I feel like I'm so far behind on everyone's lives AGAIN... but I had a lovely, relaxing (although bloody freezing) weekend with jacqui_hw which involved a Saturday cinemavaganza of Yes Man and Sex Drive, and being introduced to the cuteness that is GRΣΣK (and the incomprehensibility of American traditions, which was further compounded by watching Remember The Titans on Saturday night).
Films, films, films. Yes Man was so much funnier than I thought it would be (probably because of JIM CARREY and how I find male-centric rom-coms way more palatable than female ones) while Sex Drive was, uh, so much more absolutely fucking hilarious-er than I thought it would be. Seth Green being his usual deadpan self, moronically crude humour/shit-talking/innuendo, road-trip hijinks, and all of Fall Out Boy looking really really good (Andy sans beard! and I admit it, even Pete!) - what's not to love?
Also, today is my FOUR YEAR LAST.FM/AUDIOSCROBBLER-VERSARY! \o/ I was thinking of writing a little something about how my musical taste has changed over the years, but I can't actually be bothered and I don't think it has - I just listen to more artists within similar genres. Instead, I'm posting this hilarious mix I made (originally for princesslia84):

» "Delilah" (which is an AMAZING song, especially the last couple of minutes) is the song that put it into my head to make this mix. I first heard it on the 16th May of last year (in Viky's car on the way back from Cobra Starship, that's why I remember it) and it's been playing around in my head ever since. I love the transition from "Blood Ritual" to "Delilah" because they just happened to be in that order as I was doing my first listen through of the ~30 tracks I had originally. If you listen to it you might not think it's anything special, but I don't know, it was so seamless (usually I have to cut a few seconds of songs here and there, y'see) that it made my stomach do a sharp sick dip when I heard it. (See also: Damien Rice, O, "The Blower's Daughter" into "Cannonball".)
