I don't care if I'm alone here...

So, some comments over at my last.fm get me thinking about songs that I’d like to be serenaded by, or, because my mind shies away from ridiculously romantic things like that, (personally, I’m not keen on overly demonstrative type stuff - sure it’s somewhat adorable when it happens to others, but it’s just not for me) songs I’d like to have ‘ ( Read more... )

Not to discount all the other lovely songs you mentioned, but can I just say a big YAY! to the Paul Simon ones? It just fills my heart with squee every time you write about Graceland, because you say everything I feel abbout that album so much better than I ever could.
:D

Aw, cheers, though I don't think I do it justice really. I can never never get over what a amazing album it is.

(And I feel your pain, damn LJ and it's non-editing comments!)

I'm gonna write you a song, and record it on a fisher price tape recorder. How do you like that !

Well, hello there!

And Fisher Price! Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Hee - I used to have one of thise tape recorders and record the audio from whatever my mum was watching the TV with it.

I think that would absolutely lovely... unfortunately, me being without a tape player (this being the 21st Century and all, not the... Dark Ages) would mean I would be unable to listen to such a wonderful piece. :D

Hmm, well that would solve the problem of feeling embarrased. Plus, one could say whatever they wanted on such a tape, since it would be never listened to and all :p

Yeah, I thought it was an odd song for them to name themselves after, as it's so... bouncy and chirpy and yes, cute. (In my limited Radiohead experince, that doesn't seem to be their style, but tell me if I'm wrong!)

Oh, and Lay, Lady Lay is a classic Bob Dylan love song /swoon. I think it fits the bill nicely.

I only really started liking 'Lay Lady Lay' a week or so ago, but indeed, it makes me feel all warm inside. :)
