The hills are alive with the sound of music.

A silly, sentimental post about my favourite albums, crossposted from my last.fm journal... again. I find there's something infinitely more comforting about documenting something on LJ rather than on other blog-type sites ( Read more... )

'Affirmation' definitely holds sentimental value for me, as late as I was to discover it :)

And Bob Dylan = AWESOME! I love 'All Along The Watchtower', but sometimes the harminica gets a bit... much, y'know? Especially when I've got my headphones on!

OH NO! Not savage garden. If you were me you'd be cringing at you right now. Although, I do own one of their albums.. it's quality pop music.

Hee, sounds like there's an embarassing story in there somewhere!

I agree (of course) - quality pop, indeed.

I used to love Gold too, but the second half really isn't that good I've concluded. The first 7 tracks are superb, but after that it just becomes annoyingly average (except Harder Now That It's Over which is great.

Love is Hell Part I - now there's a set of songs which knows when its outstayed its welcome. :)

I completely agree with your Gold assessment (and I feel we've been here before), despite my soft spot for a fair few of the second half songs.

And, damn, sometimes I think it might just be worth it to get an overdraft just so I can actually go out and buy some music for once. (But then paranoia kicks in and sense (or a heightened feeling of caution) prevails).
