Well, it's official. We turned in the script today, and we are no longer translating Fruits Basket in the progressive tense. From all the long, epic stories we've seen, I feel like after something like this, there should be kind of a "And now it's time for a new beginning" at best and a "Now what?" at worst, but as it is, we're just going to go ( Read more... )

Ooh... you know, the only cosplay I've ever done was Usagi from SailorMoon for Halloween in 9th or 10th grade. My family didn't celebrate Halloween growing up so I haven't had much experience dressing up in costumes at all. I do love dressing up and putting together interesting outfits for everyday occasions though, so it seems like cosplay would be something I'd enjoy. I think I'm just not good with the whole planning-ahead part to make (sew or find items that would work as) costumes for specific characters. Someday! (there are so many things I would like to do "someday"!)

You make it sound really fun though so I would like to try it out. I think it would definitely be great going with a group of friends. Thanks for the tag! :D

Heheh, cosplay does take a lot of time and effort--that's really why we haven't done it so much lately. More and more we're wanting to ambush our photographer friend and do an awesome cosplay photo shoot. We also have this thing called "the mythical time," which is when we're going to make all the costumes we want to make but don't think we ever will.

Thanks! And wow, we never thought of that, but it's a great idea! We're planning on a kind of day off on Friday, which is when it's best to party anyway, so yes, we'll call it a finishing Fruits Basket party (though there will probably be more Final Fantasy than Fruits Basket, but I think Takaya-sensei would approve).
