he message of these movies confuse me, like, a lot. I mean, what is the actual message, really? It's okay to change for your man and also get dinged up a bit if he's an awesome powerful immortal being? Love conquers all? Stalking isn't creepy if it's love? V
I think the message is probably supposed to be that "love conquers all", but SMeyer wrote it as everything else you listed, and the movies played along.
I don't find Robert Pattinson overly attractive either! Then again, I don't find "media hotties" hot half the time everyone else loves them. I find Leo DiCaprio hotter now than I did in 1997 when it was cool to think he was hot.
The imprinting was weird, and I don't get how SMeyer didn't realize that, let alone the movie writers. Even a lot of Twihards were disturbed by that.
I realize Twilight's not supposed to be Buffy, or Harry Potter, or even Anne Rice. But there's making it fluffy and there's... that.
