It's a brand new day

As you may or (more likely) may not have noticed I'm in the process of remodelling here. Not done yet, planning to update my presentation and fandoms and all those things that should have been updated ages ago, all in due time. Currently on the hunt for some sort of website like Goodreads and TV.com and last.fm etc but that can keep track of ALL my ( Read more... )

I added you on Goodreads. This is me, btw. I made may accounts ages ago, but I've only really started using it the last 18 months or so.

Yay! :) I made mine 4 years ago appearantly, I haven't used it much since either. I always find it so daunting to register all the books I've read before starting to use the site, guess I'll just have to do it as I come across them.

I should look for a "clean ALL the things!" icon. rainbowstevie January 8 2013, 17:39:34 UTC
2013 is going to be the year I obsess about ALL the media-tracking sites. I like having a zillion accounts, but now that you've mentioned it I wish there was a catch-all site too. I finally joined last.fm, even though I'm not totally satisfied with its accurate stat-keeping abilities (particularly as my library is full of borked-artist metadata I can't figure out how to correct).

Anyway, this post was inspiring! Forget strict resolutions, a general new-year changeover sounds good. (I got a kick out of your couch-cover mention - that's good!) Particularly computer file cleanup, which I never think to do because it's such invisible clutter. But it is clutter nonetheless, and good to occasionally weed through.

And bwahah, I love your philosophy on time management.

Hah, I'd seriously lose my mind if I tried tracking too many, I really wish there was an all-encompassing site for all interests.
Ugh, meta data is annoying yeah, I mostly ignore mine. Used to have a program that sorted it out for me, identified and tagged files automagically, but it always got a bunch of files wrong.
My biggest peeve with last.fm is that they insist on changing my language to Swedish every time I log on. Which yeah, I AM Swedish, but I really prefer English and some of the translations are just straight up dopey-bad. Makes me cringe. Also the site always turns back to red, when I obvsly want it in black. Stupid site.

Yeah I think new year overhaul is the way to go instead of resolutions, resolutions are too demanding.
I'm weirdly much more of a neatfreak with my computer stuffs than I am in RL, ironically, but no matter what you do it always seems to turn into a mess within 6 months of buying a new one or cleaning the one you have.

:D I love your comments. ^^
