Haha, cool! What indie music thing? I need more indie music things! I usually play IRP on repeat and get tired of it before the month is over. :/
No idea where or when I heard the original of this, probably on the radio or in the background of some TV show. Pretty amazed I even recognized it as a cover, I usually don't (and then feel like an idiot).
