Uhm, actually, the second one was Mark Gatiss (Sherlock writer, you know?), not Moffat.

Great, now it's not even the same guy doing the same thing. Awwwesome.

But everyone uses scary kids and scary dolls, that's not really a Moffat thing.
Moffat is a timey-vimey guy.

So "everyone does it" makes it okay? :p To me that makes it worse, the fewer people being unoriginal the better. And I'm not saying RTD and his people didn't do it, but the thing is, it's been 6 seasons now. Good concepts - and scary kids/dolls ARE some good classic concepts - can be re-used, but doing it over and over for 6 season with little variation just doesn't fly.

That said, these things are *absolutely* Moffat things - this was so alike The Girl in the Fireplace and the library-episodes and all his other eps! It's always creepy semi-people, usually turning real people into semi-people but in a way where they can just push the reset button at the end of the episode (which, fine, it's a kids show, but switch it up a bit!), or on rare occasions just having it happen to non-important people who can stay gone. Lather, rinse, repeat.

God yes, HEARTS. <3 Atleast I won't have to throw things at my TV if the show gets cancelled now because that could work as a series finale. Of course I'm hoping for a s3, but thank gawd we got that ending atleast.
