Putter-Putter Course

One of my recent missions has been to create more puttering time in my schedule.  It's pretty full, and with all good things, but was leaving me feeling a little starved for time within my own mind and heart.  Here's what I mean:

Monday: Up at 6;30 to organize day, play with TB, prepare for work; work 9-4; workout with Tom 4:15-5:15; home by 5:45 ( Read more... )

Your new schedule sounds lovely. It's good that you are getting more quality puttering time and I agree that in your line of work, it's essential. I've always admired bodyworkers for the ability to focus so intensely physically, mentally, and energetically. But I've always simultaneously wondered how on earth they manage it. I suppose the folks who don't learn how to manage it, burn out. I'm curious, are you doing bodywork most of the time you are "at work" or do you have some breaks in-between?

I have alone-time built into my schedule as well and if I didn't, I'd probably go insane. I find that if I go too long without it, I all but throw people out of the house to get it. Lately, I've been enjoying some alone time in the mornings, since I get up about the time Zhenia leaves for work.

P.S. Thanks for introducing the term "stevedores". I had to look it up. :)

Thanks for the validation. When I am at work on Mondays and Fridays, I have an hour break at midday. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I work straight through ( ... )
