It's me, Ann! Yes, Badger's talked me into getting an LJ and I'm glad I did because it's loads prettier than blogspot. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of things, like custom titles and it all looks very confusing, but perhaps I've done that to myself. I don't know. And... that's all. Except: OMG BRIDESHEAD!!! -loves picture-

Yes, LiveJournal is very pretty indeed. And you can have wonderful things like Patrick Wolf mood themes!

The Brideshead picture is quite gorgeous. :)

Just wanted to say that I really like the way your LJ looks right now. It's so neat and ooooh, flowers! I'm still thinking of ways to edit mine, but I'm not sure how to and I want a picturrre... Darn me and my perpetual procrastinating.

Why merci beaucoup. :)

If you ever want to steal the profile layout, then just ask and I'll give you the code.

And if you want to make it all snazz and "friends only" with a picture, then I can tell you how to do that too.

Yeah, I think I'll go for that last one. I've already etided all of my posts to make them friends only, but now I want a picture and all snazzy jazz that comes with it. (:

No matter how much I love your layout, it's... yours. Yes.

Well, create a post where you put the picture and the "friends only" text.

Then change the date to something far in the future - 2029 or something. And then tick the box "date out of order". And then, just post your entry, and you should see it at the top of the page.

Have a go, and tell me if you have any problems.

Hello there,
much like with another above me (below as I type), you caught my eye with your Sebastian Flyte icon over on film_stills the other week, then again when you posted "Death In Venice" stills ... much unlike the others (I presume), I'm only halfway through watching "Brideshead Revisited" and find it a gorgeously photographed bore and unnervingly religion-laden (oh, to know the outcome for poor Charles is too cruel!), yet I can't shake a mild fascination with young Lord Flyte ... and (as you see I am gradually approaching my purpose) you seem to be rather interesting yourself. We don't have the world in common, but a fondness of dandyism and music collecting might just be enough, who knows? I've shed some of my youth and brightness but things, things is what I'm full of.

On a fascinating sidenote - you may have come across this phenomenon before - the spell check tells me to replace 'dandyism' (as well as my secondary attempt, 'dandysm') with 'toadyism'.

Why hello. :)

Always nice to know someone else who appreciates Sebastian Flyte, even if you're not completely convinced by the series as a whole. And according to last.fm, musically we share quite a bit in common too (The Smiths, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division, Patrick Wolf, The Velvet Underground...).

So it's very nice to meet you. Although I hadn't noticed the "dandyism" thing with the spell check before. Intriguing...

Ah, and I just spell-checked it and you're right. Apparently you have to choose from "dandy ism", "dandy-ism" and "toadyism".

'Not completely convinced' is putting it better than I appear to have managed - perhaps there is hope for me yet.
Ah yes, we do, although those are all these 'basic' bands, aren't they? But I shan't complain, less details shared means more to learn.
I am delighted by the fact that 'ism' itself is an acceptable word.
