This was already posted to tumblr, and I didn't post it here yet, so some may have already seen it. Meta on Dean and Castiel in 6.20 in visual form. The quote was sheron's idea. The screen caps were mine, I think.
It's like they overestimate and underestimate each other at the same time. Put each other on a pedestal, and then believe each other limited in ways they aren't really, and yet seem to be, due to the cultural/means of processing emotion divide and their own stubborness. Something's gotta give, boys. Something's gotta give.
There's no not-flailing for us, there's only degrees of flailing. Yesterday, flailing was at 20% and rising, now because of this discussion it's at 80%. At least it's not at 150% all the time like it was just post-finale because that would be exhausting. :D
It's best not to think of it, once I saw the quote and my brain started thinking about The Little Prince, and I know it can only end in tears. I was tempted to reread it, and am afraid to right now!
I'm really glad you found that quote, and I'm so tempted to poke deeper at The Little Prince in relation to all this but I'm afraid it'll just make me cry or something so I'm going to just leave it at that quote.

Shiiiiiiiip. *flails about* It's been over a month since the finale, shouldn't the flailing have died down by now? I'm still flaily!
