I thought for sure I would break LJ hiatus for White Collar first, but oh well. DOCTOR WHO HOW ARE YOU SO AMAZING? Everything about 6.07, I love it. So I made a picspam. It was either this or convey my love via semaphore.

It wasn't something I saw until I picspammed. This is why I need to picspam, it brings out things I'm subconsciously aware of but not really seeing.

I went there too--before I saw the movie, somehow, just from photos of the actors standing next to each other along with my previous knowledge of the characters. So imagine how crazy SMASHING I felt after and during the movie. OMFG. I am so gone now it ain't even funny.
(And add to that knowing that McAvoy 'ships it, too....)

Yay, so glad you liked the picspam. It was such a joy to make.

I was totally not prepared for the effect that movie would have on me. Although I'd seen Fassbender in Jane Eyre and had a feeling his Magneto would be truly impressive...still. Yes. Gobsmacked, by him and McAvoy. I enjoyed the entire cast, but those two stole it and my heart.

Hee. They both seem to ship it. :D

Totally get the tragic bromance of Charles and Erik -- I raved about it in my own movie commentary. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender were perfect in the chemistry with each other, and in building their own character's viewpoints and thought processes and allowing that to color their responses to each other through performance, not just dialogue. Charisma out the wazoo!!!

That scene where Charles works with Erik in helping him gain control over his own power -- memory sharing, that quiet intimacy that was such a private moment -- a true meeting of minds as people without politics...

So many moments I could babble on about. I also loved Mystique's expanded background and how complicated her ties with Xavier and Magneto were. Why she ended up so completely on Magneto's side but never wreaking quite the full havok on Mutant X that she was capable of. It gives an extra layer to the movies already out, adding that to our understanding.

It was just... wow. *grabby hands* I WANTS TO OWN DAT MOVIE RIGHT NOW!!!

They were amazing and the rapport the actors have with each other helped the whole thing along. They are so heartbreaking, the two men they are, as people, reaching for each other and then they hit the wall of their politics.

The ensemble was great, so many interesting stories there. Beast! So good to see Beast's origin story.

It was interesting while doing the picspam to see the color schemes they were using. So much green and blue. Wonder what it means -- and it's Tardis blue, I think. Don't you think it's a very Tardis blue?
