I like the back and forth, i like the little arguments and banter, i like the tone of it all. Very fun.
Um.
What's your pet theory? I am, sometimes, incredibly dense.
I'm also gonna go read the others.

It started because I couldn't figure out how Dean got back so fast in the Pilot. For a while I thought Dean had this one psychic power, to sense Sam's fear (part of his role as Sam's protector). Things evolved and we found out Sam was precog and TK, and it's more like Sam projects *loudly* at Dean if frightened enough, not that Dean has any real psychic abilities.
Their mutual link at the end here was supposed to be them stuck in something of a feedback loop. Sam's vision of Dean's peril terrified Sam, which in turn made Dean sense Sam's distress (for Dean).

I sort of finally figured it out reading the other two. Like i say, sometimes very dense.
And yeah, the loop thing could *so* happen, and be so skeery, too.
And you know - the pilot thing *was* weird. I sort of just chalked it up to Dean sitting the car after Sam left, watching him go inside and being all kinda...lonely and sad and then he sees flame or maybe a figure in the window that makes him uneasy and...
But i sort of like him having a link to Sam, too - makes it more fun.

I love this series you have going on. Beautiful set-up and I really hope you are going to be writing more in it because it is just fabulous.
Great use of the switching POV's.

"Does it seem to you as if there have been a lot of critters to deal with lately?" Sam pushed aside a low branch, and then held it so it wouldn't snap back on Dean.
I love that, the way Sam's all thoughtful here. It's a small detail, but it made me smile and sigh. *g*
"I thought you drove away, but then it seemed like you were right there. How did you know?"
This is a great question on Sam's part, and of course one many fans have speculated about. I liked where you headed with it. :)
Dean left his brother sleeping and ran out for coffee and jelly donuts, because who could do research before they'd had sugar and caffeine?
His brother, apparently. Freak.
LOL! Too funny. That's such a Dean thing to think, and Sam thing to do.
Dad and Dean still hadn't found the words "Sam Winchester, age 7 3⁄4" written in black sharpie on ( ... )

This show puts a lot on screen but there's also a lot unspoken and subtextual, which tends to prompt fanfic. *g*

Kind of a double-edged sword, isn't it? On the one hand, it'd be nice if we got a little more onscreen, but on the other hand, if we did, we wouldn't have as much awesome fanfic to read. *g*
