And he bought a huge tub of popcorn and a giant sized soda and jujubes and tried to enjoy the movie enough for two Winchesters. He laughed.

And when the lights came back on, he cried.

Sam stayed through two subsequent showings. Because for a while, it helped him forget.

AWESOME! What about the extra fluffy ultra shmoop scene where Sam looks all over town for the DVD to watch it with Dean but all the shops are closed and he ends up having to DOWNLOAD IT ILLEGALLY and he knows it's wrong but he'd do anything for his brother including becoming a PIRATE????

The pirated edition had the shadow of some guy's head in the way and a lot of background noise. The release date of the DVD got by Sam, because things were kind of shitty. But the day after they left Pennsylvania, Sam made Dean stop at a Walmart.

Sam presented Dean with the 2-disc special edition (he passed up the ultimate edition or whatever it was called that came with a replica of the crystal skull because this was their lives, they didn't have room for extra stuff) and watched his brother's face break out into a wide grin.

"Yeah, I also got junior mints and popcorn and goobers," Sam said, opening the plastic bag to show Dean.

"Dude!" Dean snatched the box of goobers and opened it.

They found a motel and watched the DVD on Sam's laptop and ate so much junk food they felt sick.

Sam started to think maybe things would be okay.

Well, of course. Sam's just an awesome brother like that. And having seen it together they can now ref off it. I now fully expect to hear quoteage or paraphrasing in dialog later in the season, and will be disappointed if it fails to appear.

The lederhosen were pretty um. What got me though, were the *knee socks*. Fuzzy knee socks. I... I have no adequate response to Dean in fuzzy knee socks.

SPN really should have more Indy references. I want Dean to say, "I don't know, I'm making this up as I go."

You should totally throw it all together into a schmoopy fic ... with extra bits of Sam sniffles at the beginning, you know, to round it out. Not because I love an angsty!Sam. No way. ;-)
