Nicely done, dear. I love how when people have birthdays, everybody wins with the resulting fanfic. :)

I. Waterlogged

As he jogged back to join the soccer game, he noticed four girls on a blanket, staring at him.

He had no idea why. Probably he looked like a freak, dripping water everywhere.

*g* I love his complete cluelessness of what’s really going on. *pets him*

II. Studious

"I like how you look when you're concentrating," she said, and her smile made him feel lit up inside.

IV. Stalwart

It took him several minutes to get that she wasn't talking only about his role in the demon war.

I like how this feels dangerous and flirty at the same time.

Thank you! I wanted that kind of feel to it. Ruby has Sam's number and I thought it'd be interesting to have her sort of confront him with his lack of awareness. And Sam would mistrust the messenger. But then it does dawn on him, almost.

Cool, I'm especially glad you liked the ending, that segment took some wrangling until I got it how I wanted it.
