Thank you. I think she would have fought so hard to leave the scared little girl behind. But squished something about herself she shouldn't have in the process -- she could have become Bela the self-reliant without becoming as closed off as she became. (It doesn't quite mesh for me that she did go to the Winchesters for help in Red Sky, but maybe her deal is such a personal, big, painful thing she couldn't, whereas she could with an immediate and different threat.)

Really like the concept of this one. I've always imagined hell to be a lot more than blood and torture, that they'd go for the psyche. This is a very fitting punishment for someone who's always tried to block out her feelings. She's got a lot that's going to be rising to the surface.

They didn't tell lies, they didn't swear, they were grateful for what they had, they wore their skirts long to cover the knees.

Excellent detail here.

Bela, faced with herself. Yeah, I can't think of anything scarier for her, complete with childhood flashbacks. Thanks for the lovely comments!

I love this - you create such a sense of disquiet in such sparse, yet rich words. Thank you so for writing it!

Still no idea of who this Bela person is, but really, I didn't need to know to understand just how terrible this hell would be for some people.

Hey, you. *smish* You probably wouldn't know it from reading my fic of late, but Supernatural is very often hilarious. The tail end of season 3, though, was grim grim grim. And that was just for the supporting characters like Bela. *hides under the bed*

I like how her thoughts curl around that foundant moment in her life when she fell. Beautifully told.

Trapped with herself and her memories. Poor Bela.

Thank you, sweetie, I'm glad this worked for you.
