I don't think hookups count as polyamory.

I didn't think random friend threesome hookups counted as polyamory. I thought that was just a threesome. While this person, and their complicated post (definately straight would imply, male genitalia = ew?) gets -14 cookies, their icon gives them a +2 cookie. So their total cookie account is -12.

P.s: I just filled up my poly_bingo card. Do -I- ( Read more... )

this cat fell flat, snark: ur doing it wrong, not actually a snark, snark fail

The threesome might not count, for you, but let's review the post, shall we?

However, with the execption of the bad ending, I had a great time, and it comfirmed what I've thought for a long time, which is that I'm more suited for an open or poly relationship. Ok, so she's talking about an instance that occurred, that made her affirm that she is not a monogamous person.

How do you deal with threesome awkwardness? And how do you deal with a monogomous partner when you're not? Here, the OP is clearly stating questions for which she needs answers, questions that have been asked of that comm in the past without snark.

Ok, back to the threesome that so irked you. She and her SO discussed opening their relationship, and chose to try it with one of her best friends. It didn't work out, and instead of demanding that she get to keep f*cking the other guy, she backed off, let her SO have his space, respected his feelings, and asked for advice on how to proceed.

Not exactly snarkable.

No cookies for you.

Threesomes don't irk me, not at all, but if the SO was straight, and it was hinted that another female would have been the obvious choice. I think what irked me the most was the obvious discomfort the dude must have had, especially with the other manflesh near.

Sometimes you can think you're straight, want to experiment, and confirm that nope, you really are straight.

I applaud the guy for trying at all.

Maybe another female was the obvious choice because she knows she likes girls, and he knows he likes girls, so they both knew another girl would work. She also likes guys, and he thought he might like guys, so they tried another guy, and it didn't work out. What's wrong with that? Not everyone is sexually attracted to every other person all the time.

Okay, but y'all, there *is* some pretty snarkworthy stuff, especially as it unfolds in the comments.

"We were just going to have him watch and then part way through that changed and I'm just not sure how that ended up with my partner in tears and upset."

Also, maybe it's a thing I don't get, but if I announced to the internet that my beloved was fat with a little peepee he'd be vexed.
