I don't mean this is a snarky way, but I saw a magnet on a friend's fridge the other day. It said, "Better to have loved and lost, than to live with the psycho for the rest of your life."

I will tell you from personal experience, being involved with someone that unstable is no fun. As much of a mean bitch I can be, this just freaked me out because I've been there.

That shit almost killed me too.

Is it a bad situation? Yes. Is the OP being sensible and trying to make the best of it? Yes. Is snarking it mean? Yes.

Mean funny is still funny, and this quote was hilarious.

And yeah, I dated a version of this drama queen once for a few years. People like this are Destructive with a capital D, and can wreak havoc in an entire army full of rational people. Regardless, having survived my own immersion in this kind of suxtravaganza doesn't make it snark tabu.

I was reading the post, thinking, "gee, this sounds uncannily like my boyfriend's psycho hosebeast ex, that's a really sucky situation to be in, and I think my comment on dps is going to be "can anyone say 'borderline personality disorder'?" " and then I got to the first comment, which said exactly that.

I think the most snarkable part is the bit quoted here, on account of it sounds like it should be made up, and yet is not.

I didn't read any of the comments. Everything about it was tl;dr. I did add my 2 bits about BPD and getting therapy, though.

I think I would have snarked the "but everything is fine inside me!"

um...yeah...somehow, I think not. Either to begin with or as a result, but people don't fuck crazies and drive unless they're aiming for a wreck, ne?

"people don't fuck crazies and drive unless they're aiming for a wreck, ne?"

you know, sometimes people don't reveal their craziness

sometimes it takes the Crazy a while to manifest//takes the shiny a while to wear off.

And sometimes you get ideas about 'love' meaning you stick with someone when they're going thru a bad time...and don't recognize right at first that the 'bad times' keep on happening with reliable frequency AND are totally manufactured by the 'victim' of the 'bad time'...

It's really easy to get caught up in a bad situation....hard to get out of and hard to even see how bad it is while you're in the middle of it.

This really was too sad to snark.

*hugs*
