I would never leave my dog outside by itself even if I HAD a fenced in yard.
And the neighbors trying to seperate the dogs... which is a bad idea? And.... it never occured that maybe it might be a good idea to go out there and help? Oh, right. Chances are good it was too inconvenient. Man, who would have thought owning a dog was so difficult. I mean you actually have to DO stuff.
Wait, a dog requires work and care....nooooooo. Well that means I must get rid of Harley. I think I'll replace him with a ferret, cause after all, they don't require any care at all. Right?
And to ambersaigh who I know will end up seeing this -- Darwin is, and always has been, a parrot. :) One that emireath (is that right? Too lazy to look) got just before the previous snark and the sudden name change.

Nuh uh. XD

I didn't know that, but when she first made the new journal she not only insisted that she WASN'T emireath (apparently she thinks we're all as stupid as she is), but that HER dog's name (as darwinsmomma) is Darwin. That's where I was going, and it had the desired effect.
We completely ignored the fact that there would be other dogs out there, and that our yard has a lane behind it that everyone uses to walk their dogsThis is, of course, the most responsible way to own dogs. Just leave 'em outside alone! Nothing bad could happen. Ever. Really. Certainly not if her dog is a pit bull, because we KNOW that all the neighbors love every pit bull in the universe, and certainly, no one poisons them, attacks them, or otherwise harms them. Not in my world, anyways. *sticks fingers in ears and la la las

It doesn't actually say that the neighbours dog has attacked before. It says that -a- dog got into their yard, not specifically the neighbour's dog

In July, we tethered our dog in the back yard for hours at a time.
We abandoned her in the yard all the time, left her all alone, pitifiul and sad.
