I don't know if it even makes a difference (if they got the cat recently from a shelter, it might)... but this isn't even a kitten we're talking about her e- it's a 4 year old cat! If they're JUST starting training, I'd hope they didn't get the cat as a baby and are just dealing with the issues now.
