THANKYOU!! Finally you are seeing the light!! These dogs are *made* to be outside!! You're being CRUEL to them by keeping them indoors where they are safe and not cold!!
Outside dogs like these often CAN NOT be properly contained in a yard. You see, it's impossible and cruel to contain small dogs with thing like leashes or fences. They're meant to terrorize the entire neighborhood, kill neighbors' chickens, and be hit by cars. They like it.
Well SHIT. I've been doing the wrong thing! I should but Tundra outside on her runner immedietly. She'll have no protection from anything trying to attack her - but thats ok! She's a husky so she LOVES the cold. How dumb am I for keeping in her inside!!!
And now I want to know who told you this cos i'm dying of curiousity :D
I think your brain might explode if I told you who it was. I wouldn't want to be responsible for you dying. ;)
Well anywhoo... It was one of the shelter employees where I volunteer at. Yes, the employees trying to find dogs GOOD HOMES... told a GOOD HOME to rethink their decision because they planned on the dog being inside and part of the family. *headdesk*
That is just sad. They are supposed to encourage the human-animal bond and encourage them to keep them INDOORS.
Makes me wonder what kind of super smart people we have working at the shelters here. I'm in the Deep South where animals are still 'ol yard dogs and barn cats. :(

Well Dante is not small with short hair, so it's okay for him to be inside, obviously!
Damn it! My two dogs are both over fifty pounds! (Okay, one's still a puppy, but his adult weight will be over fifty pounds) Does that mean they can't be speshul outside dogs? Oh, and they both have not short coats. Double damn!
I wanted one of those! Sigh.
Oh, I know! I can trade mine in to get some outside dogs! Off to the shelter we go!
What breed of dog were they talking about, by the way?
