Ooh, not the challenge to be doing with a head full of WIP! Some people seem to do it as a way of breaking through some kind of barrier, which you clearly haven't got at the moment! I did it because I'm desperate to write, but I just daren't settle down to anything this week because I'd be there all day. So an eight-minute challenge is perfect for the circumstance. I quite enjoyed it though, it feels a bit like flying or something - I was typing away and literally not knowing what the next word was going to be. I'll definitely do it again any time it's not going to muck up something else.

I enjoyed the challenge quite a lot, actually, and part of the joy is that you don't feel much ownership in what you end up with, so there's in some ways less nerves about posting. I should think I'll be doing it again some time.

Gene had a hard job getting to Sam, poor man. I didn't want to hurt Sam, but I had to get the word "fork" in there somehow!
Wow, I like your idea that the Manc Lion is learning table manners - learning to use a fork. Actually, that's an excellent idea for a very dark crack!fic - Gene eats Sam, eewww. Mind you, I think he will be biting and chewing and sucking Sam very soon!
