One of the consequences of lockdown has been that I ran out of new books to read months ago (I'm reliant on the - currently-closed - library as I can't afford to buy many nowadays). Hey DG it's great to see you back again! :) Gosh, but it's been ages.

As you can tell I'm still lurking around. We had a lockdown here back in March but we all survived it. I actually caught the virus back then too but came through it ok.

Never got into Sharpe mainly because it wasn't on free-to-air TV way back when and I didn't have cable though I remember hearing that it was a good series.

Anyway I'm glad to see that you're writing some fic again. I always enjoyed your work and hope you write more. I'm still writing myself too (Hartenstein/Mortimer from The Sinking of the Laconia).

Hope to hear more from you in the future. :)

I see LJ still isn't sending me notifications then... (It worked for about three weeks back in the spring after I changed my email address and then seems to have stopped ( ... )

No, I don't post at A03, just LJ and DW. I kind of figure that's enough especially when I occasionally make corrections. So if you saw Laconia fic at A03 it wasn't mine. This fandom is practically nonexistant so no community. There is only one other person writing it and I used to give her feedback but she informed me that she would *not* be leaving me any feedback even though she admitted reading all my fic thereby making it impossible for me to continue to leave her feedback. As you can imagine this saddened me greatly as she was the only other person who loves this pairing. However, I still love it and will continue to write it - been 6 years now - even if no one reads it. I still put fic notifications on Rareslash. Laconia has to be one of the rarest fandoms around. I mean 2 writers? How rare can you get?

Anyway very glad that you're writing again. Just goes to show Lockdown can have positive outcomes. ;) Welcome back! :)
