Alrighty. I've loaded up some Billy pics and now I'm gonna TRY and see if I can put together a wee something. IF it works, I've got another something up my sleeve. If it doesn't work....well, try try again. (crosses fingers)
Ooooh, such lovely pics! Just a wee tip, though--since you have so many (YAY!!!), and since some of them are quite large (YUMMM), you should probably put them behind an lj-cut. Depending on people's layouts and monitor size and stuff, it can make it so they have to keep scrolling sideways to read their flists.
Gnh. I LOVE that picture of Bean, and as for all those pics of Billy? ::melts with adoration::
Thank you. That was my very first attempt. I was just thrilled that I could actually figure out how to get the pictures up. I have yet to figure out how to do an lj-cut so I do apologise. There may be a few more oopsies before I get it figured out.
No worries! I know it takes some time to figure all this nasty code stuff out, eh? :D
And an lj cut is pretty easy, the code is [lj-cut], replacing the square brackets with < and >. And if you want the cut to say something in particular, then you just put [lj-cut text="Whatever you want it to say."] again replacing the square brackets with < and >. Easy peasy! (As long as I've explained it clearly, that is, lol.)
OOOh, thanks again Pippin. I think I have it figured actually. I went to the "help" thingy. It actually suggested a different way that was easier for my dull brain. You highlight what you want to hide under the cut, then you go up to the toolbar thingy and click on the 3 straight parallel lines with the squiggle underneath icon. Then a box appears that says "read more" which you can change to whatever you want it to say. Then Voila! Instant lj-cut!
It worked with both text and pictures. I believe that was for 'rich text'(?)There was something else for 'html' and then the way you suggested too.
I only tried it with one small sentence and one photo. I don't know if you can do more than that using the "3 line squiggle" button. I may have to try your method for bigger posts.
