Anthony Stark stood on the other side of the cell, his arms at his side. He was wearing Armani, his hair combed back and his face carefully composed.
The boy sitting on the bunk was still wearing the costume he’d been captured in, in addition to the power inhibiting collar and with the… well, there was no way around it. It was a muzzle, to keep the boy from talking. Dark hair stood up in sweaty spikes while dark eyes regarded him coldly over the muzzle. Fine features were drawn into a picture of annoyance.
That was what worried Tony the most. The fact that the boy was annoyed. Not angry. Not scared.
Annoyed.
“Billy-”
The bunk’s thin blanket flew across the cell in a ball, pelting him in the face. The boy’s look said it all. Tony wasn’t allowed to call him Billy. In fact, judging from the way the boy turned away from him, he didn’t was to see Tony at all.
“If that’s the way you want to be,” Tony said, stepping back out of the cell and letting the door slide shut. He watched the boy raise his hand, a single finger sticking up in the air.
He didn’t see the flash of blue in the boy’s dark eyes as he walked away.
