“I do hope they grow out of it soon,” Emma Frost sighed, watching Paige trailing after Jono through the window. Sean Cassidy laughed, shaking his head and smiling indulgently.
“I’m no happier about the dorm than you are, Emma,” he said. “Leave it be. They’re young.”
“And I’m too old to understand, am I?” Emma asked, her tone mildly teasing as she cocked an eyebrow at Sean. He looked her up and down slowly, but decided it was wiser not to comment.
“If the boy weren’t so bloody stupid, it’d be sweet.”
“Yes, well,” Emma pointed out, “boys do tend to be rather stupid. It’s in their nature.”
