Megan grabbed Nezhno’s arm, trying to pull him along. “You have got to show me everything there is to see here!” she said, squirming with glee as she looked out over the veranda, which opened out onto a spectacular view of the city. “Wakanda is really pretty!”
Nezhno gently pulled his arm free, shaking his head. “My country is not a … tourist destination, Megan. Outsiders are not welcome.”
“But Black Panther and Storm said-”
Nezhno cut her off with another shake of his head. “My king is a wise man, and a great leader, but the people do not always listen, and they are less likely to listen to my queen, for all she has done. The palace has many things that I am sure you will find perfectly fascinating.”
Megan pouted, trying to look sad and miserable. “Fine,” she finally said petulantly. “But you show me.”
Nezhno sighed. “As you wish,” he said, knowing how to pick his battles. “But quietly, please.”
“I can be totally quiet!” Megan assured him quickly. “Nobody will even notice I’m there. I’ll be like a mouse or something. Where do we start?”
