Terry’s hand hesitated over the chess piece. He looked into Baron von Blitzkrieg’s worn, wrinkled face. The old Nazi watched him right back, head cocked slightly to one side and an unreadable smile on his lips. He could have been someone’s grandfather… or great-grandfather, more likely. Sometimes, Terry forgot that he was working with an Nazi, someone who had worked for Hitler, for crying out loud.
This guy should have been a completely evil bastard, right?
Only… he kinda wasn’t. He was an old guy who told dirty jokes in German, and who Terry was introducing to Star Wars, and who liked to occasionally just sit out in the sun and feed whatever birds were able to get into Camp Hammond without being run in to by a flyer or zapped by some idiot.
“Are you going to move, or what?” the old man asked.
