Howard the Duck spread the map out on the hood of his car as Angelo loomed above him, reaching out and tracing the road they wanted to be on with a single grey finger. “We wanna go this way,” he said. “You see where you went wrong before?”
Howard chewed on the end of his cigar, following the path the young mutant had traced. “Yeah, I think I do,” he said. He raised his head and snapped, “Hey, you! Feet off the seat!”
Jono sat up, raking a hand through his unruly hair, which only served to make it messier.
“Okay,” Howard said, fighting to fold the road map back up, “last chance to hit the restroom, then we’re on our way to San Jose .”
