vaDanti tested the bonds that held him in place and reminded himself, not for the first time, that he needed to stay tough in front of these people. They were they enemy, willing allies of the Skrull and the traitor. His skin felt like it was crawling off his bones every time he looked at them, but he knew that he must not show fear.
He had never seen anything that disgusted him more. His people faced extinction, it was their fault, and yet to these children, he was the bad guy.
vaDanti knew he was going to die here. The humans were looking like they would be more than happy to put an end to him, especially the big blond male. Karolina just looked tired, and vaDanti couldn’t actually get a read on what the Skrull was thinking. Not that what the Skrull thought really mattered, beyond how soon the monster and his cohorts would kill him.
He hoped that his sister and the others really were still alive, and part of him dreamed of rescue, but he didn’t think he could trust the human who claimed that she had not killed them. He was on his own.
vaDanti didn’t want to die. Not on this alien planet, surrounded by traitors and filthy Skrull lovers, so far from home.
