Paras was just starting his first cup of coffee when Victor jogged in to the kitchen, clearly fresh from his morning work out. Paras looked up at him over the rim of his cup, feeling more worn out just looking at the other boy. “You are insane.”
“It’s a beautiful day,” Victor replied brightly. “God, you have got to see the sunrise over the bridge! It is spectacular.”
It was about then that Alani found her way into the kitchen, looking every bit as tired as Paras felt. She took one look at the two mutants, then sighed. “Is Vic being insane again?”
“Yes,” Paras insisted over Victor’s protests. “Make him stop.”
