The way Nico moved was fascinating to Karolina. it was kind of like watching a swan move across the water (Karolina added the ‘across water’ when she remembered how ungainly swans could be when they were on land), and Karolina could watch her all day.
Or maybe it was like watching a peacock unfolding its tail, so darkly colorful and just begging to be admired.
Karolina wasn’t sure why she kept comparing Nico to birds. It just seemed appropriate, for some reason.
