“I think I’m gonna be sick,” Victor groaned, turning away from the mess he had just made. The wannabe gangster who had been about to shoot Karolina lay on the ground in a growing puddle of blood and vomit, the piercings that had once adorned his face and body scattered around Victor, along with his gun.
Victor had only meant to get the gun away, not turn the guy’s face into hamburger.
A small barbell, the kind usually used for tongue piercings, was resting on top of Victor’s shoe, red and slick with blood.
“Vic, come on! The police can take care of him.”
